چکیده

In this paper, a two-dimensional (2D) diffraction tomographic algorithm based on the first order Born approximation is proposed for the imaging of hidden targets behind the wall. The spectral expansion of the three layered background medium Green’s function is employed to derive a linear relationship between the spatial Fourier transforms of the image and the received scattered field. Then the image can be efficiently reconstructed with inverse Fast Fourier Transform (IFFT). The linearization of the inversion scheme and the easy implementation of the algorithm with FFT/IFFT make the diffraction tomographic algorithm suitable in through-thewall radar imaging (TWRI) applications concerning the diagnostics of large probed domain and allow real-time processing. Numerical and experimental results are provided to show the effectiveness and high efficiency of the proposed diffraction tomographic algorithm for TWRI.

Three-Dimensional Polarimetric Diffraction Tomographic Algorithm for Real-Time Through-the-Wall Radar Imaging

In this paper a three-dimensional (3D) diffraction tomographic algorithm is proposed for real-time through-the-wall radar imaging (TWRI). UWB Impulse Radar for Through-The-Wall Imaging

Ultra-Wideband (UWB) is the promising technology for localization of the objects behind the walls. Recent terrorist activities and law-enforcement situations underscore the need for effective through-wall detection. UWB radar signals has extremely large frequency spectrum and since low frequencies has more penetration capabilities through dielectric materials it is best suitable for Through-the...

Single-Side Two-Location Spotlight Imaging for Building Based on MIMO Through-Wall-Radar

Through-wall-radar imaging is of interest for mapping the wall layout of buildings and for the detection of stationary targets within buildings. In this paper, we present an easy single-side two-location spotlight imaging method for both wall layout mapping and stationary target detection by utilizing multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) through-wall-radar. Rather than imaging for building wal...

Tracer/time-lapse Radar Imaging Test at the Boise Hydrogeophysical Research Site

A combined tracer and time-lapse radar imaging experiment was conducted in the unconfined coarse fluvial aquifer at the Boise Hydrogeophysical Research Site in August, 2001. Two tracers (bromide and uranine) were injected to form a plume over a 4-m interval that spanned the contact between hydrostratigraphic units with contrasting permeability. The tracer plume traveled 6.9 m to well B6, passin...

Implementation of D3Q19 Lattice Boltzmann Method with a Curved Wall Boundary Condition for Simulation of Practical Flow Problems

In this paper, implementation of an extended form of a no-slip wall boundary condition is presented for the three-dimensional (3-D) lattice Boltzmann method (LBM) for solving the incompressible fluid flows with complex geometries. The boundary condition is based on the off-lattice scheme with a polynomial interpolation which is used to reconstruct the curved or irregular wall boundary on the ne...
